CR250 Bottom End Rebuild, Before and After

Today is bitter/sweet, more sweet than bitter! The bike works great, but I really enjoyed this project and now it's done with nothing to do until I can ride again. I'm sure I'll keep busy with some other project, but for now I'm content to at least partially enjoy the fruits of job well done. Here it is complete with new hot rods crank / rod, crank bearings & seals, swingarm, linkage, and shock bearings, wheel bearings, engine gaskets etc.

  2. Beautiful bike!
How tight do you pull the crank in?
Do you just pull until it stops and is tight?

    thanks

  3. Yea, you'll feel it stop. Once it got moving in on mine it was pretty smooth and consistent, then it stopped, then I gave it a little more so I knew it was seated.
